What happened when a CEO asked us one simple question?

As we pondered and prayed about the CEO's question together and idea emerged. We decided to systemically listen to God for every single one of the 94 staff across several locations. Using the members of StretchCo, we would simply ask God for His thoughts about each of staff and write down the things that God revealed.

But with so many staff would it even be possible? And if we did, what next? It was in essence the first step towards a new Timeless Wonder Foundation initiative which we now call Heaven Intelligence.

25 StretchCo members took part in our pilot project to be the listeners. It took six months as it was for nearly 100 staff. A list of first names was simply given to the listeners and they listened and then recorded what they heard from the Holy Spirit.

To cope with the volume of words people were giving in response, and to ensure that the identity of the staff member and the name of the business they worked for remained confidential, new systems had to be developed along the way.

We had the sense we were breaking new ground and exploring fresh paths. The business went from strength to strength. There were some stunning stories. The CEO was able to reflect on the encouraging words given about each member of staff and see them from God's perspective. Above all, that CEO learned a little bit more how to love his staff the way God does.

After this one we did the same for another business. And another. Then some more. Then some church leadership teams.

This initiative is still emerging but we are dreaming of what this could become. We do know that many believers are wanting to be used by God and are wondering how. We also know our small community has limits.

Maybe we could help to mobilise thousands of believers from their own homes, any time of day or night, to be God listeners and help bring something of heaven to organisations. Along the way these believers may too be awakened afresh to the timeless wonder of knowing God as they listen to Him for others.
